When dealing with food production in the tropics, solving pests, diseases, and plant nutritional deficiencies has become extremely complex and urgent, requiring a multispectral understanding of biotic and abiotic factors to optimize crops for hyper-productivity, resilience, and decarbonization of food production.
Leveraging the vast aquatic and terrestrial microbiomes of the world's greatest diversity of fungal and bacterial life forms present in the Amazon, Cerrado, Pantanal, and Atlantic Forest biomes, KAA Bioscience is setting out an ambitious plan for innovation in agricultural computational biology through technological development of Digital Twins for optimization in plants, microbiomes, and soil systems.
KAA's R&D, in parallel, is working towards opening up nature's biological assets visible and accessible to scientists and innovators around the world, while at the same time ensuring fair and equitable sharing of the commercial benefits that may ensue, in alignment with the Convention of Biodiversity’s Nagoya Protocol. The main focus is to scale an Amazon-Wide Early Warning System for zoonotic virus spillover and prepare for the next pandemic.
In a minimalistic structure based on an earthy and floral color palette, the visuals balance vector graphics with old engravings and diagrams, bridging the gap between tradition and modernity.
